The Philippines is home to a wondrous variety of tropical and migratory birds, many of which are on the very cusp of extinction. Over the last year, James has tied up with the Haribon Foundation, a champion of Philippine wildlife conservancy and donates 10% of the sale of his Philippine bird sculptures towards their valuable conservancy work. There are only 300 Philippine Cockatoos existing in the wild today. They are wonderfully expressive birds with a wide emotional range.
James’ Cockatoo is made from long dead driftwood indelibly attached to a recycled marine grade stainless steel frame that transitions to the claws and connects to the post. The post is attached to a marine grade stainless steel plinth finished in a verdigris patina.
