This chandelier draws inspiration from the Viking Long House, a place of free spirited bonhomie and community! Long dead driftwood offcuts from James’ sculptures are machined and worked to hug 6 marine grade stainless steel rings of ever decreasing diameters. The tusk-like driftwood pieces are charred multiple times in accordance with the Japanese wood burning technique of Shou Sugi Ban. Abaca fibre off cuts recycled from the sinamay weavers of south Cebu is moulded and shaped to diffuse the CE approved strip lights.
