Making this Console is not for the faint of heart! Three rigid, organic materials of high tensity seamlessly transition from one to the other, held together by means of a central armature of recycled marine grade stainless steel. The process demands a high level of dedication and craftsmanship to build. Decades-dead hard wood is thinned, kiln dried and machined to hug an underlying structure. Molten pewter is poured at some 250 degrees, weaving its way through the maze of tributaries to produce a shimmering delta within the deep grain of the surrounding wood. The top goes through a 5 part process of sanding and finishing before being suspended between two sheets of 18mm glass.
